Remember Christopher Columbus? The man who happened across the land that turned into America? He took a stroll up some steps just below this picture to get permission to accidentally find North America.
A little example of the Spanish tiles outside of a concert venue we rode past on our bike tour of Barcelona. I'm thinking of joining a bike gang when I return home... I have so much experience now.
Riding through the streets of Barcelona. Why don't we have streets like this in America? Too claustrophobic? Maybe that's it...
This is the other Arc de Triumph. I should've taped the explanations for all this stuff. There was a story involved, like there is for all good things. I do recall a mention of a World Fair or World Expo or World Trade Expo happening in this plaza. That's a pretty big deal right? I feel like it is.
This is the original part of Antoni Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia. It is perhaps the most intricately built structure I've ever seen. It's one part over the top and another part beautiful. The tour guide thinks that it will never be completed... probably correct... but stranger things have happened.
This is a picture looking into the heart of Barcelona. It is also a picture near the beach, which is as close to a picture at the beach as I would like to have. If I don't have to go to a beach for the next 10 years, I would probably be ok. No matter how nice the beach. We had entirely too much beach times in Barcelona. Not that the company was at all bad... mainly just the sand and overall chilliness coming in off the ocean.
This brings us to now. Back in Oxford. Waiting for the lovely students from the Business Department to come join me so we can take some sure to be somewhat difficult courses. Can't wait. I love learning... sometimes. Let's hope that in the next few days one of these times occurs... or Business Statistics could be the death of me. In the mean time... I'm going to go see Star Trek, 17 Again, and Hannah Montana consecutively... by myself... ok maybe not consecutively... we'll see.
i'd like to recommend 17 again. truly delightful.
